Dish number 6 of 13 on their tasting menu. And now the wine is starting

to take effect 😛 I haven't mentioned this yet, but the sommelier Ana is super knowledgeable and friendly and recommends the most amazing wine pairings. For the second part of the menu, where the earlier cheeriness gives way to an aggressively spicy and fiery palate, she recommended a white by Bread and Butter (from California) that tasted like no other white wine I'd ever had up to that point. It reminded me of malt. Of beer. With Indian main courses, yes, suddenly everything made sense 😄 That's what I remember when I see this #pumpkin dish; how well the wine dovetailed with it 😅

P.S. the second picture is there to show you just how mini this portion is! Those nodules underneath are chickpeas, not gnocchi or potatoes or anything three times the size. The pumpkin was artificially arc-ed! 😏

Gaa is a #finedining establishment set in a leafy part of Sukhumvit, with an elegantly minimalist and spacious dining room. Run by Garima Arora, a Michelin star holder while still in her 30s, it offers 13-course carnist and vegetarian tasting menus, the latter of which is veganisable upon request. The food is #indian in style but #thai in its use of ingredients. Dinner will set you back THB4,700 + 17% in taxes and service charge, but it'll be money well spent I promise 🥰
