Over eighty years ago, John Gregg started out with one goal, to deliver (by pushbike) fresh eggs and yeast to the families of Newcastle. Ten years later, he chained up his bike and opened Greggs of Gosforth. Making, baking and selling fresh bread and tasty treats from his very own shop on Gosforth High Streetā€¦thereā€™s still a Greggs there today, although itā€™s looking a little bit different these days! Over the years weā€™ve opened more and more shops across the nation, and have become somewhat of a Nationā€™s sweetheart in communities far and wide. Our menu has also changed with Britainā€™s taste. The long-standing Greggs fans among you may even remember the olden days before the hotly-debated Vegan Sausage Roll, or our freshly ground Fairtrade espresso. Yep, weā€™ve loved rolling through the decades with our customers. But, behind the freshly made sandwiches and golden puff pastry, weā€™ve always been committed to doing good. Way back in the sixties, we started with our free ā€˜pie n peas supperā€™ for older residents in the North East. Today, weā€™re still as committed as weā€™ve always been. Through Greggs Foundation and with support from over 100 partners, we provide 7.5 million free wholesome breakfasts to primary school children every year. Our support for the Childrenā€™s Cancer Run has raised over Ā£30m to fund research into improving recovery rates of children with cancer. All of this, and so much more. We love our communities and weā€™re proud to be able to give back to them. So, here we are today. With over 2,000 Greggs in the UK, the important stuff still matters to us. We're hard-working, but above all else we're family; and it doesn't matter who you are, where you are from or what your favourite bake is, when you come into our shops, youā€™re part of the family too.

Delicious!! Bargain at 2 for Ā£1. Greggs need to start delivering šŸ˜‚

I have been searching for the greggs Vegan doughnut for so long, but it was

worth the wait. It was sweet and delicious. I shared this with friends who also all loved it. It is also a complete bargain at 60p.

Great to have a vegan doughnut option available at greggs, and they were pretty good

too!Nothing to write home about but still tasty, I liked the thin layer of glaze and the doughnut was light and not too stodgy #veganisnotscary

Fantastic to have the option and they taste really great!

There's nothing outstanding about this, it's a basic glazed doughnut, but it's good to see

that Greggs are expanding their range of cheap and easy sweet options for vegans. I wouldn't choose this over the Belgian bun, though that's personal taste rather than a criticism of the doughnut. Worth the 60p!

šŸ‘ Doesnā€™t really taste all that different from the original
āœ”ļø soft and moist
šŸ‘ deliciously slathered

with icing

šŸ‘Ž only one vegan dessert available

šŸ· 60p or two for Ā£1

The best vegan doughnut Iā€™ve ever had, itā€™s so perfectly ā€˜normalā€™? Tastes exactly like a

non-vegan one, and itā€™s really cheap! Most vegan doughnuts are cakey but this has the exact right texture
