Where to even begin. I went here for my birthday as a gift to myself.

It is expensive but so worth it for the experience. You are presented with a multi-course meal in which fresh, seasonal ingredients are prepared in ways that enhance the flavor of each component, with the finished dishes artfully arranged. All of these characteristics come from shojin cuisine, which is still prepared in Buddhist temples throughout Japan. There was a ginkgo nut dish that was so delicious. It was so much food I could barely finish but I did eat every single thing. A truly special treat that was also a magnificent cultural experience.
