It started in Atlanta, Georgia. The year was 1974. Three college students dreamed of creating a pizza joint that served the world’s best stone-baked pizza while staying true to their counter-cultural values. With that, A Higher Order of Pizza™ was born. Almost fifty years later, spanning nineteen states, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has stayed true to that vision of serving fresh, high-quality, stone-baked pizzas. Each independently-owned location provides a one-of-a-kind experience rooted in psychedelic-inspired design and delicious food and beverages. Now get ready to embark on a flavor journey like no other, because Mellow isn’t just a name. It’s a culture. It’s a state of mind. Mellow Mushroom’s plant-based menu includes pizzas, calzones, hoagies, Munchies, and more. So, Veg-heads rejoice. On top of that, we can make any of our vegetarian pizzas fully plant-based. Mellow Mushroom serves vegan-friendly pretzels, salad dressings, sauces, Munchies, and specialty pizzas. On our pizzas, you can substitute any regular cheese for Follow Your Heart® Dairy-Free Cheese. We also have plant-based tempeh protein. If you’re plant-based, we’re here for it.

After an exciting day of scuba diving, we all shared a large Veg-Out pizza with

vegan cheese! They aren’t vegan but they enjoyed trying it out, though I don’t think the vegan cheese was their favorite haha! I really enjoyed it and ended up eating 1/2 the pizza because I was super hungry! I had to add lots of red pepper flakes though, to make it a bit more interesting and add a kick! I loved the fresh veggies, briny olives, creamy cheese, and fluffy crust! Mellow Mushroom is a great place to go if with vegans and non-vegans, since people can have personal customized pizzas and there’s dairy-based and vegan cheese options!

This was a really good pizza and the cheese tasted great! I loved all the

veggie toppings as well

This pizza is not worth $27 w/ tax. The crust is good, but the overall

flavor of the pizza isn’t there. The cheese doesn’t even look melted all the way. I had this pizza twice and it’s the same deal. Something is missing. I appreciate the effort Mellow Mushroom. Vegan does not mean flavorless. I do not recommend this pizza. You are better off making your own.
