This udon ramen is served with two mixed vegetable tempura patties on the side. I've
never had ramen like this before! I love how crunchy tempura veggies are, so it's a nice contrast to the soft, chewy udon noodles. Okome House's broth is nice, but the noodles are the best part of their soups. I also like the big pieces of seaweed in this one. The vegetable tempura was really great dipped in the broth. I liked it more dipped in the broth than by itself. The broth helps cut down on the greasiness a bit.
You can get this with the udon combo for $20. It includes the udon, one onigiri, two pieces of takuan (pickled daikon), and kukiwakame (seaweed salad).
