T’s TanTan is one of the most popular vegan restaurants in Japan and have several
branches and products now! This restaurant is located in Ueno station in a shopping area called Ecute which is inside the ticket barrier. This was the last meal of my trip to Japan, I got this as a side dish to my ramen (the Soupless TanTan). The chashu is made from soy meat and I’ve had something similar at other restaurants or bought dried soy meat that looks like chashu. In general I feel like these side dishes pale in comparison to the main ramen dishes and because of that, they don’t boost the experience like I would want. The only one I really think is worth going for again is the gyoza. This side dish was priced at ¥350.
