AFFORDABLE NOT TOO SWEET ORGANIC SOFT WAFFLE BISCUIT
A small brand in a small country. 🇧🇪Waffles

are a cliché of Belgian cuisine. Available in many organic stores, this waffle proudly shows true vegan colours.👍
Taste/bite: Not too sweet, which is positive. Moreover, the sweet flavour is very subtle: see ingredients. Soft bite. A bit dry, they require a lot of saliva when chewing. They would do very well with a topping of vegan cream, or jam.
Ingredients: Organic. A mix of coconut blossom sugar, rice syrup, agave syrup and powdered banana is used as sweetener. Unfortunately apart from sunflower oil, there’s also palm oil, 👎be it organic and certified. Pleasure food, clearly, high energy density due to the sugars and fats. So to be consumed in moderation.🤔
Shape/Conditioning: Folded cardboard holder in a transparent airtight sealed plastic pouch. Complete nutritional info but very small print, making it probably hard for elderly people to read it. Openly sold and marketed as vegan, although the brand itself has many other non-vegan items in its product range.
Price: I paid 2,95 € (January 2023), for a total weight of 150 g. Reasonably priced. There are chances I would buy these again.😊
Produced by a 🇧🇪 Belgian waffle bakery called Dimabel.
