whey in a lab and then they make ice cream out of it and lemme tell you, it’s the closest thing to dairy ice cream that’s vegan I’ve had. It’s so creamy, and I’ve had non-vegan folks tell me they’d be perfectly happy with it as ice cream.

but dairy?? What?? This is vegan, but it is whey (lactose free). They make the dairy in a lab so no animals involved. They just duplicate the chemical structure of dairy. I had huge huge doubts, especially as an 11 year vegan, but this is so good. Tastes like I remember dairy ice cream tasting, creamy and satisfying. I have had to eat small amounts only (normal for me with sweets though) since I haven't had any whey in almost 12 years. The flavors of this are incredible though. Raspberry jam swirl, truffle chips. So good. I just with there was more jam and that the chips were smaller. But other than that, super good!

it is oddly not dairy-free. It is made with a non-animal whey base by fermentation. If you miss dairy ice cream, this is the brand for you. Personally, I actually prefer the taste of non-dairy bases for #icecream. The taste of this is great. I like the texture of the mix-ins as well. I can see this catching on.
