I’ve been taking magnesium glycinate for a while now and I always take it with

a glass of water close to bedtime. This allows me to relax more easily and fall asleep quickly, which helped a lot avoiding those sleepless nights when anxiety took over and kept me awake with stressful thoughts. Since the end of 2023 my anxiety has been affecting my sleep and I was so glad that this supplement was able to help so much! Now even if I am going through a more stressful period of my life, at least my sleep schedule and my overall health doesn’t need to be affected. I have to say that probably magnesium alone isn’t the solution: I also cut down my alcohol intake, caffeine intake and I’m doing more physical activity, all these things combined probably helped.

Other benefits from Magnesium Glycinate include: promoting bone health, helping managing blood sugar levels (and lowering the risk of developing type 2 diabetes), maintaining regular heart rhythms, reducing PMS symptoms and amplifying exercise performance.

Of course check with your doctor before starting taking any kind of supplements, but if you also find the need for a magnesium supplement, magnesium glycinate is probably the best option as it is the one that gets absorbed the best from our body.

This one from this brand is vegan and it’s available online on Redcare Apotheke in CH. I take the daily recommended dose of 300 mg which is 3 caps. This one in the picture is the biggest package which contains 240 capsules and costs around 62 chf, but in the end has the best cost per capsule. Unfortunately it is not super cheap but I noticed that here in Switzerland it’s as cheap as it gets.
