Dairy free spreadable cheese goat style garlic and basil

I really appreciate what they were trying to do here and it actually does taste

a bit like goat cheese, and it’s very creamy, but is slightly too bitter and sour for my taste buds. I prefer their other spreadable cheeses over this one but I’m glad I tried it!

Vegan goat style cheese with basil and garlic, made from cashew nuts

I had seen a few varieties of this goat style cheese stocked at my local

Sprouts but I didn’t want to pay $6 for an item I was iffy on. I typically really like nut based cheeses (and enjoy Treeline in general) but don’t like the funkiness of a goat cheese. When I found this at Grocery Outlet for 1/3 of the price, though, it felt like a worthy risk!

I’m glad I gave it a go, as I’m enjoying the creaminess of this cheese. It has a little tang but not anything like what I’d remember a dairy goat cheese being. The flavor is nice though I wish the garlic and basil were more punchy.

A high quality and tasty cheese made from simple ingredients.
