Elmhurst 1925

I was noticing this product a few times and was curious to try it. It has only 2 ingredients - filtered water and hazelnuts. It's that simple! If you try it on its own it is exactly as it sounds - it tastes like milked nuts. It isn't really meant to be had on its own imo. It curdles in hot coffee and completely seperates from the coffee but I have yet to try it mixed with a cold coffee as shown on one of the carton's suggestions.

What I found interesting was the light pink purpley hue which you can see in the third pic. (Not sure how peoples' screens will convey this, but you'll notice you try this one out yourself).

It was great in my smoothie! I mixed in banana, peanut butter, dark chocolate, my Dr. Fiber Smoothie Sidekick stuff, and 2 dates for the perfect sweetness.

It does cost a bit more than most of the standard plant-based milks.

aqualing This is on my to-try list! Thanks for the info. Have you tried to froth it? Wondering how it’ll work that way🤔1 likeReply
hbchic Haven't tried that. I don't have a frother but I was considering experimenting and warming up the milk and blending it up and seeing if that makes it frothy. 1 likeReply
aqualing Good idea😇 Reply
abi88 Like the 2 ingredients!! I like it simple!! The addition of more things is usually to obtain a more stable and thick consistency but simple is better !!! Will see if I can find something similar in here 😃4 likesReply
malarky Haven’t tried this one, but I love Elmhurst! Theirs is a great story... the last dairy in NYC closed to become plant based after almost a century of being a regular dairy. I may not have that exactly right.... 4 likesReply
abi88 I read about it !! Incredible story 🙀 after 92 years they become plant based. Thanks for that fact 😺😺3 likesReply
