Review of Mala Fortune Burger at VeganBurg Singapore by plantbasedlifestyle

Got veganburg's new seasonal special last week. I wasnt sure if I would like to try this out given the mixed reviews but since it is their first launch, I thought no harm! According to their website, it was a grilled mushroom patty dipped in their mala sauce and topped up with carameliaed onions, cucumbers
, corainder and mayo. I added a vegan egg and sauteed mushrooms for a more substanitial meal. Taste wise, it is not as good as their originals as I feel that the mala was somehow lacking in flavour. It is more numb than spicy. It is not as spicy as I would have liked and I feel that the mayo on top should have been replaced with a spicy type to kick it off. The vegan egg did not go well with the burger this time but its ok. A little disappointed with the new launch but 5 stars for the creativity. Hope they can improve on the flavour of mala. Otherwise, texture of patty, bun to filling ratio are all on point!
