Review of Gong Bao Monkey Head Mushroom with Rice at D’Life Signature by roshninagaria

This was my first time at D’life Signature and I thought I’d give it a try because of how frequently I’ve seen it mentioned online in groups.

This was one of two dishes I ordered…and it was just okay. I wish I could say it was delicious but the food (both dishes I ordered) just tasted sweet, with a hint of savoury. It honestly felt a little bit like I was eating two desserts instead of a savoury main and side. I wish I could have tasted more of the mushroom and sauce in its savoury element; I am not sure what they add in to make it that sweet.

There are a lot of items on the menu but I don’t think I’ll be going back to D’life in a hurry. If I do, I’ll take a chance on the laksa.

I’m glad others love D’life though! They have an extensive menu with lots of options for all :)
