Review of Black Diamond at Lime Asian Kitchen by chocomelonhead
They have limited vegan-friendly options here, so I worked with what I could.
This is the black diamond dish, and I don't think it's orginally vegan. I asked the server for vegan options, and she said she could make the black bean sauce vegan, so I believe they changed the menu to fit me, which I did appreciate her knowledge of veganism, as she did assist me for a few recommendations. (If you want to choose something with minimal changes, she said the basil dishes in the vegetarian category are already vegan).
This dish is a tofu and eggplant dish covered in a black bean sauce, with some other veggies. It is best served with rice, so I got a serving of jasmine rice on the side. Although the dish looks small, it was quite filling for me. A lot of big chunks of eggplant, but not enough tofu. Overall, it was a great experience for me. Even the ambiance of the restaurant was nice. It was dark with dim lighting at each table.
