Review of Lavender Cardamom Bun at Gluten Free Gem by knorthway

This is probably the best vegan pastry you’ll find at Gluten Free Gem Bakery. Actually moist & sticky without a hint of dryness, it would be hard to guess this pastry is #glutenfree. The lavender notes were evident and the cardamom was subtle.

Though this bakery is not entirely vegan, all of their pastries are clearly listed as to what’s vegan and what isn’t. I don’t adhere to a gf diet, but I highly recommend this place if you’re strictly gluten-free! You can also find their products at New Seasons Market and other independent cooperatives around Portland.
