Eating my way through vegan South Africa, one veg at a time.
Delicious. I found this in Woolworths. I tend to eat them either in one go or over two days. The only this is, vegan chocolate 🍫 is quite expensive, and this is no exception. I buy more of the 80% and 90% ordinary Lindt, more
Mild - more mild than Kimchi. I don't mind the smell at all. It fizzes and overflows when you first open the jar, so do it in a bowl (then you can drink the liquid 😉 afterwards). Onions, carrots 🥕 , cauliflower and a bit more
Quick alternative to flour pastas. Convenient - a lot more tasty than the broccoli 🥦 one. I made a fake cheeze sauce (cornflour, cashews, dijon mustard, garlic power, lemon juice) to go over it, and that was lunch. I more
The Fry's range of food is the equivalent to 'Gen X' had it hard for vegans: Fry's were once the ONLY meat alternative we had back in the day. I think we distinguish BF (Before Fry's) and AF (After Fry's) as the dividing more
I'm not happy with the lack of info. I bought it frozen, which didn't help: it definitely should not be frozen. I did buy it from the recently closed down Shop Vegan in Gezina. It was half price in their last few days more
Don't get me wrong, this is a very tasty 😋 cream cheese, if a little on the sweet side. It's just I recognise that it's made from stuff I, personally, should not eat too much of. Having said that, it's good for spreading more
I can't say how much these were enjoyed in my household. Both my parents (non vegans) loved these and asked me what they were made of. Truth be told, I haven't looked at their ingredients too hard, but they were so blooming more
So delicious my mum and I were talking about it for days. I bought this at Hyde Park Corner Woolworths and haven't been able to find it in lowly areas like Montana, Pretoria (the closest). Maybe there's not enough vegans more
Awesome. Absolutely delicious. Gone in 2 days. (Oh, so now the app is saying it needs more characters 🙄)
