I am back! If not only to complain.... has anyone seen so many articles like this lately?! Is someone paying people for anti-vegan propaganda or something?? Are they not aware of many cultures and religions that haven't more

It's me, hi, I'm the problem it's me 🙋🏻‍♀️ (incredibly lazy with reviewing that is). Anyway, I needed to share this incredible dish I had in Amsterdam back in October. I didn't have high expectations for mushrooms on toast more

Dreamy ramen 🤤🤤 there are 5 different ramen options at Hakata, and they're all the same price (£10.95) so I decided to get the one that included everything in it 😋

Mushroom broth, noodles, wood ear mushrooms, tofu karaage, more

The Coconut Collaborative

Little pots of heaven 😻 I love these so much, I know that they're probably a good size as they're quite rich but I could easily eat a huge pot of it 🤤 softest yoghurt/mousse little thing. Not too bad at around £2 (on offer?) #chocoholic

Ugh 😒 I've been wanting to try pizza pilgrims for a long time now and I was severely underwhelmed! I thought vegan nduja sounded exciting but it was actually just pretty lazy. The 'nduja' was actually just some kind of more

#weeklywins I remember when I first went vegan and realised that some of my clothes were made of suede or leather and I felt so bad to even wear them! Like I was a bad vegan 😂 Since I was little though, my mum has always more

alexsea The question I always ask myself is, would I want to give this to others to "wear" (or to "eat")
if it had been made from an animal I knew and was my friend - is it less horrible because it has already been killed and was it less horrible for the animal just because it is "normal" for others? It's a dead body of a soul capable of suffering, which was killed cruelly intentionally and thoughtlessly - it is not a piece of clothing and also not an article of food, it was a living being that did not perceive the world less and did not want to live less than a dog or cat, where most would find such a thing terrible.1 likeReply
sopheen That is definitely a great point! I just hate waste in general and if this is an item that you can use forever instead of buying new then I believe that's ok. It's a difficult one because you don't want to wear them but you also don't want to just throw them away! A lot of sustainable clothes are expensive (rightly so) but I unfortunately can't always afford to buy them! I actively avoid buying any animal products/clothes (haven't bought any in 6 years) but I would understand if someone saw something second hand that was non vegan and purchased it. 1 likeReply
alexsea Would you give it away, if it was a corpse part from your own cat or dog or any other animal you loved, because you don't want to "waste it"?1 likeReply
sopheen I believe this isn't an argument we need to have! I am not contributing to the harm of animals in fashion so! Reply
stormm This is one of the things that I struggled with when I started my vegan journey, Soph. I have a crazy Nike shoe collection (Asics = hot garbage btw 😉) with most of the kicks containing some animal by-products. I think it was Earthling Ed who suggested that if you want to purge your wardrobe of animal products, donate it to someone in need. Wearing something is better than wearing nothing (sometimes) especially when you haven't the means. He also said that if you continue wearing the items, do so in honor of the sacrifice by the animal. I've done a bit of both - donate and honor. I don't think there is a morale high ground doing either but I find a bit of comfort that I'm not purchasing those items moving forward.3 likesReply
sopheen I can never forget your Nike collection! Thank you for your point of honouring the animal. I have definitely seen earthling ed say that too and he put it into better words than I can. I'd rather these garments went to someone who needed it/couldn't afford such expensive products. I completely agree, I've both honoured and donated and I also find comfort knowing I'm not buying from companies that exploit animals. 2 likesReply
