abillion announces Singapore’s 50 Best Vegan Dishes 2022

We’re turning up the heat here in abillion HQ and once again unveiling our annual 50 best vegan dishes list for Singapore.

This is the list’s third edition, and a truly democratic snapshot of the city’s most scrumptious vegan eats. For starters, it’s derived from a whopping 18,000 reviews of over 10,000 dishes from 2,500 different restaurants posted by abillion’s community of avid diners.

The result? Vietnamese vegan eatery The Kind Bowl emerged #1 again with The Kind Pho and is in fact, so well-loved that it has five other entries in the list – a formidable feat since it has only 12 dishes on its menu.

Other restaurants with impressive showings include Green Common Singapore, Genius Central, Lucky Cat and nomVnom, which each have four dishes on the list. Love Handle Burgers and Miznon meanwhile have three dishes each in the top 50.

These offerings truly reflect the diversity of Singapore’s cuisines and the increasing sophistication of its chefs and restaurateurs in veganizing dishes. On the list, are dishes that span the Asian culinary canon – from the Japanese-inspired Tofunagi Don, to Hakka classic Lei Cha Kolomee as much as Indonesian street food staple Ayam Penyet.

“In the last four years, we've witnessed more Singapore restaurants join the plant-based movement,” said Vikas Garg, CEO & founder of abillion. “The number of restaurants on the abillion app surged by 5 times between 2017 and 2021, with growth driven both by new restaurants as well as existing restaurants incorporating vegan items.”
