Omg was this dish delicious!! It is based on #gofio, a ground and toasted corn

meal flour that is a staple in Canary Island cuisine. In this plate it is mixed with a broth until reaching a pudding-like consistency. Topped with fresh #onions to provide a punch as well as red #mojopicon and green #mojoverde sauces. The taste is nutty and unami and it is served in a clay cookinh dish. We split this between two along with another dish and were happily full! Priced at 5€ - a #veganonabudget find. 😊

This amazing family restaurant is not shy about sharing that they have typical Canarian food with vegan options. This is home-cooked, comfort food at it best. The service is friendly, the menu clearly marked with several dishes with vegan options. Vilaflor is a pretty little town, one of the highest in altitude in Spain continuously inhabited since the 1500s - well worth a visit and a meal at this super-vegan-friendly locale!
