Was actually expecting clear double-boiled soup with whole black beans, lotus root, and all that

jazz. Surprisingly this was actually blended-style black bean soup, like a cross between cream of mushroom soup and red/green bean soup dessert, simultaneously slightly savoury and sweet. Other ingredients in the dish included fried 'lard', fishcake tofu, black fungus, raw lettuce, and noodles. Would have preferred more ingredients and/ less noodles, in particular more protein and perhaps cooked vegetables instead of lettuce. Overall a rather interesting dish though it was a bit hard to wrap my head around it haha. Would like to drink the soup by itself though! Saturday daily special. ($6.50) #sgvegan #organic
