Photos from this restaurant came up in my Facebook memories from two years ago from my trip to LA with abillion. I was super upset to learn later that day, Sage announced that they will no longer be a #vegan restaurant, but are turning to "Regenerative Farming." They now use desensitized farming language like bovine instead of cows, etc. She claims this is natural and better for the ecosystem than eliminating animals. Also, the owner claims better gut health, etc and its better for everyone.
I guess I'll never understand how anyone can go back and hurt innocent beings. It's so devastating to see a reversal of kindness and compassion towards living beings😢 💔 We had a restaurant in Columbus revert to selling animal products as well, which, the community here supported for the most part because it was better them stay open serving plant based options as well as to closing.

vegoutvictoria So shameful, I loved that place when I lived in CA. They used to have a few more locations too so I guess they’re shuttered some. Every business that was veg or vegan in BC that added dairy or meat in the last year is now closed. Reminds me of the Cafe Gratitude / Gracias Madre owner’s journey.13 likesReply

david- There’s a restaurant in Germany called Vedang. Used to be all vegan. Recently they introduced „sustainable“ meat beef burgers. I wonder how many vegans will confuse that it’s vegan beef, since this always used to be a vegan restaurant!3 likesReply
aubreyj27 i used to really enjoy sage.. i’ve been there twice while in california and the food and vibes were great! i was really disappointed to hear this too. i’ve never heard of a restaurant regressing like this before, and i feel betrayed both as a former customer and for the animals they are hurting. it’s a shame4 likesReply
