Wow! These mozzarella shreds are delicious. So buttery ! I’ve been eating it on salad

and by the handful 😬. It’s my new favorite cheese!! Soy, dairy & gluten free. Coconut based. This mozz is something magical.

My sister ordered this package of vegan mozzarella

shreds from FreshDirect for my visit to see her in mid-August on Long Island. I always appreciate her efforts to accommodate my vegan lifestyle.

I added these mozzarella shreds to my pasta dinners and my Just Egg breakfasts. I unfortunately forgot to take photos of the mozzarella mixed in with the liquid Just Egg when I cooked up some very deliciously cheesy omelettes..

These mozzarella shreds melted very nicely, probably a little better than the Daiya and Violife mozzarella shreds which are my go-to brands here at home.

The taste was truly mozzarella-like; I was very impressed! This cheese is a decent source of calcium.

I would be quite happy if my sister were to order this brand of mozzarella shreds again for a future visit.

This was surprisingly good for a vegan cheese. I didn’t know it could taste that

much like the real thing! The only downside was that it didn’t melt as well. I will try it again, perhaps as Mac and cheese and see if the method changes anything.

Unlike cheese, this is not a good source of protein. Wish they could figure that aspect out so I wouldn’t have to find something else in its place.

This review is for both the Good Plant Mozzarella shreds and cheddar slices.

Since finding

this cheese, it’s become my favorite for shreds and slices. The cheeses melt well and I use them for topping on soups (as seen in the photo of some homemade tomato soup), pastas, grilled cheeses, etc.

The taste of the cheeses is close to the real thing. Not “nutty” like some other cheeses. The cheddar has a nice bite to it as well.

This brand is so good that a local pizzeria uses it on their vegan pies.

Would definitely recommend, especially for anyone trying to make the switch from vegetation to vegan.
