While visiting Iceland & England this past fall, I was very excited to see Linda

McCartney’s many products in almost every grocery store I popped into. I don’t believe any of these products are available in the US, or at least not that I’ve ever seen, so I seized on this opportunity to try a couple items.

These vegetarian pies are #vegan even though they’re labeled as vegetarian. They were tasty and perfect to eat on a chilly Iceland evening. Though they are a little small so you may need to prepare a side dish or eat some dessert afterwards.

After looking closer at the ingredients, it seems these pies are lacking unprocessed vegetables, even using potato flakes instead of potatoes. These unfortunately also contain #palmoil , and there isn’t any note on the packaging ensuring it has been sustainably sourced.
I likely wouldn’t buy these all the time if available where I live, but being a huge fan of Linda and the Beatles, I had to try these while I could.

These pies are fairly nice, the pastry on top is nice and flaky but at

the bottom it’s a bit soggy. The filling is okay, but doesn’t have that much flavour. I thought I had a picture of the actual pie but it seems I only have one of the packaging. For £2.20 they’re pretty good value and I have them fairly regularly, but they’re not the best vegan pie option. I also don’t really understand why they call them vegetarian country pies when they’re vegan and say vegan on the packaging.

Love these, probably one of the first mock meats I ate as a veggie (then

vegan) #huntsabs

These were so delicious!!! Best pie I have ever had hands down. The crust is

flaky and the filling is very tasty. I highly recommend you give these a try. I live in the U.S but I had these on a trip to England and I am wondering if there is any way I can get them here in the U.S? If anyone knows please let me know and if you are looking for a quick and easy dinner, these hit the spot!
