Found this hidden in the back of my fridge and forgot how long I’ve had

them, but I know that it’s been well over a year! I prepare them the way I normally do, and it tasted just as good. Since these are dehydrated, they last a long time. On its own, it doesn’t really taste much like anything, but there are so many ways to marinate them, making this a great way to enjoy some variety. One of my favorite and simplest way to prepare this is by marinating them (while in simmering water), in soy sauce, a little ketchup, siracha, lemon juice, ginger, and garlic powder, and then fry the slices in some sesame oil, and after they’re browned with a little crisp, then simmer a little longer with the marinating sauce, which makes them nice and juicy. In this photo, I am enjoying this in a rice dish. But I occasionally make fajitas with this too. 

TVP used to be one of my favorite meat alternatives, when it was less known and super cheap. It’s not so inexpensive anymore, but I still like it, even with all the existing meat alternatives that we have now. #veganmeat #steak #fajitas #nosaturatedfat #protein #fiber #marinated
