VEGAN

Woolworths Food

So , it's not original and probably a bit on the expensive side but the taste is great and it's thick and tasty. Not marked as vegan, so I did have to check. Added to 1 1/2 cups of cooked red lentils and you have a great base for a lasagne. I use this sauce in @noracooksvegan lasagne rather than the marinara sauce she suggests. I will definitely buy again as I love a "clean" lasagne rather than using a fake (processed) meat.

sunshineyum The tocopherol may or may not be vegan. It refers to Vitamin E which can be derived from plant, animal, or petroleum sources. 1 likeReply
ecobunny @sunshineyum I can't seem to like your comment at the moment but I do and thank you so much for the info on this. Perhaps @woolworthssa can clarify for us (and if it isn't, adjust the ingredients? Here's hoping! 😊 🙏) I've been having trouble with the app lately. It won't upload photos saying saying they're slow motion, and then uploads it 3times!!1 likeReply
sunshineyum It would be awesome if they do - would really help us when looking at product ingredients. 🙂 I also have niggles with the app from time to time - once I had to delete it and download it again from the app store to fix the issue. I guess that's the world of tech... 😅1 likeReply
sunshineyum PS: agree re using lentils over processed mince - viva wholefoods! 1 likeReply
