Truffle mushroom pie by #sglocal #halal #andso! 🥧 Sitting within the flaky pie crust was a thick chunk of juicy, firm, and 'meaty' (but not gamey) filling made using a blend of textured soy protein and mycoprotein. True to its name, the filling was infused with fragrant truffle oil and interspersed with diced mushrooms. 🍄 Nicely baked without being oily, and topped with cilantro for a pop of colour! 🌿 Reasonably priced too compared to the cost price of the frozen product, and quite filling for a side. Wouldn't consider it one of the must-try dishes here (since it doesn't feature cooking skills 👩‍🍳 very prominently), but still an interesting new side! Perhaps it could be more nutritionally balanced and value-added if served as a main alongside The Plant Food's in-house roasted vegetables and salad? 😝 (Allium-free, $7.90) #sgvegan #pie #womenowned #alliumfree
