I love tofu, really in any form. I was intrigued when I saw this

edamame flavored tofu. The silken tofu was a pretty green color (sorry no photo) but the flavor was really subtle. It was delicious with a quick garlic gochugaru chili oil (inspired by The Foodie Takes Flight on IG) and sautéed spinach.

$2.69 at 99 Ranch

Although I prefer firm/extra-firm #tofu in most dishes, shelf-stable #silkentofu will always have a place

in my pantry because its delicate, luscious texture complements certain dishes so nicely. It’s also super easy to store and can be transformed into an easy cream sauce at a moment’s notice (see https://www.abillion.com/reviews/64eb5e87311644c0725a1e6c for one such example!) The #edamame flavor was not really noticeable to me — it tastes more or less like the plain Mori-Nu blocks — but the color is indeed striking. The rich green hue is the product of turmeric and some blue food coloring. It was a beautiful addition to my #veganisnotscary ramen. #tofulover

I enjoyed trying this vibrant tofu, though I think I would save it for recipes where the color would really enhance the look of the dish. I purchased this block for just $0.99, #groceryoutletfinds, but I have also seen it for around $2 at Asian grocery stores. Due to this product’s longevity, any discount takes the value from good to great, so I typically stock up whenever I see it on sale!
