Last week I finally tried out the vegan egg by Osome. The egg white doesn’t

have much of a flavour (kinda like with a real egg) but the yolk is nice. It has some turmeric flavour and has a nice bite to it. As I miss egg salad sandwich I decided to mash it up with a bit of vegan Mayo to have on my toast and it was really yummy. The package contains 4 eggs and they are frozen. What I did was just put it in the fridge the night before and the next day I could eat it. Didn’t need any heating, you can just eat it like it is. The description mentions not to cook it as it will loose the nutrition. Great for satisfying my occasional egg cravings!

Tastes absolutely horrid. Nothing like an egg. Nothing, really. This has more of a fish

ball/fish cake texture rather than an egg. My guess is they used the same base from their other products. The yolk has a really intense taste of potato and turmeric (I love turmeric and put it everywhere but not like this) Cool idea but not worth the price tag. I’d rather make my own hard boiled “eggs” with agar-agar again or stick to scrambled tofu with the occasional JUST egg.

Awesome and innovative product! I love the flavor and texture of the yolk, it has

a hint of turmeric. It is ready-to-eat, just need to submerge in a mixture of hot and tap water for 15 to 25 minutes. Not something I would consume daily, it is quite expensive at 14.99 SGD/4 pcs of vegan egg.
